CYC is
a great place for adults of all ages and skills to row out of Marina Del Rey.
We have more than 60 active adult rowers with a wide range of interests and
motivations varying from recreational, fitness, social, open water, and racing.
For
those new to the sport, we offer introductory lessons that will teach the
foundations of the sport and safe boat handling skills. Our goal with lessons
is to offer a fun introduction and to build the skills necessary to be a
successful and independent rower. Lessons are open to both members and
non-members. For more information, please see our Learn to Row page.
Once cleared on safety
procedures and operations there are two pathways to continue rowing for CYC
Members. The first, which a majority do, is purchase their own shell and rent a
rack to store it on. The second is to use shells from our club-maintained fleet
on a first come-first served basis.
For non-members who wish to
continue their rowing career at CYC we encourage you to contact our Membership
Department for more information on how to join the Club and the other amenities
CYC has to offer.
