California Yacht Club is pleased to host the Star class for their North American Championship this August 17 thru August 22. CYC has hosted the Star Class for their 2007 Star Class Olympic Trials, 2005 Star North American Championship and the 2002 Star Class World Championship. Sailing conditions in Marina del Rey at this time of year are ideal for a championship event, with a 10 to 15 knot breeze typically filling in by noon under warm and sunny skies.
Come sail on the same waters where many championship regattas have been sailed, including the Martin 242, the Laser Radial Worlds, the J80 North Americans, the J105 North Americans, the J24 North Americans and the Schock 35 Nationals. Experience the dedication of a race management team that has been awarded US Sailing’s prestigious St. Petersburg Trophy three times in the past decade.
