Paddle Tennis & Pickleball

Calling all Paddle Tennis players and people who want to learn how to play paddle tennis!

The Club has a very active paddle tennis group. Our four championship courts have been host to the paddle tennis national championships. The courts are available for use seven days a week and two of the courts are lighted. Use your dock key to access the courts.

Just show up at the courts for mixed games on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
(Times subject to change during daylight savings hours).

The game with funny name that's fun to play. Invented more than 30 years ago on Bainbridge Island in Washington state, the game has exploded in popularity, is played in virtually every state and Canada, and boasts more than 3 million players in the U.S. alone.

The game is played with a 34-inch high net, a wiffle ball and ping-pong like paddles, Pickleball is a combination of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. The rules are easy to learn -- new players can be playing within 15 minutes -- and make for interesting games. Players of all ages can and do participate. It turns out that CYC's paddle tennis courts are just the right size. With minor modifications (which don't interfere with paddle tennis) the two games can share the same courts.

We play on Saturdays at 9 a.m., and Mondays at 6 p.m. Our schedule sometimes changes, so check to verify for the day you want to play.

New players of all ages are welcome. We have loaner paddles for you to try. The Club supplies the balls.
